  Looking back a year at Covid

  march of last year covid was declared a pandemic that would take hundreds of millions of lives world wide.. here are the facts after a year.. the world population is 7,800,000,000 (billions).

  114,770,269 millions of people have caught the virus as of today.

  Just because someone is labelled as dying from Covid doesn't mean they did. I think a good proportion of those died from other causes and maybe never even had it. The numbers have been exaggerated to justify the over-reaction by the west.

  Due to family issues, my dad was kicked out of the house 4 years ago. We did not see him or even talk to him for those 4 years. He moved in with his brother, who volunteered to take him in. Our uncle refused to communicate, or give us any information on his status.

  We just received a call from our family lawyer that he passed away December 2020. We received a copy of his death certificate. It listed that the cause of death was from Pneumonia/Covid-19. The underlying cause was coronary heart disease.

  We don't buy the story. He was 88 years old, had congestive heart disease for the last 10 years and was a diabetic.

  We also believe the numbers are exaggerated to justify hospitals charging for the treatment of COVID patients and propping up the numbers.

  If we are to believe that all the parables were either historical or literal, wouldn't the Matthew 24:45-47 apply only in Jesus's time?
  

  How can the Matthew 24:45-47 parable that the Watchtower Society has been teaching for the last 140 years, really point to the modern ''faithful and discreet slave''?

  In the 10/1 1998 Watchtower study article titled, ''Jehovah, a God Merciful and Gracious'' there is a footnote that reads:
  

  Parables and other illustrations related in the Bible did not necessarily take place in actuality. Furthermore, since the purpose of these stories is to teach a moral lesson, there is no need to seek a symbolic meaning in every detail.

  In one breath they teach that the parables are not literal, but in the Matthew 24:45-47 parable, there are actual "faithful and discreet slaves'' on earth today. Why is this parable taken literal when others are not? How do they explain this one?

  in this week's wt study, the article suggests that you might be discouraged because you were not given wt "privileges".

  but here is the unintended admission: "jehovah" has picked a lying servant, putting on deceptive bible dramas to do his bidding.

  14 Because of the limitations of age, health, or other factors, we may not be eligible to receive a certain assignment or privilege in the congregation or circuit. In that connection, we can learn from the example of King David. When told that he had not been chosen to build God’s temple​—something that David had dearly hoped to do—​he gave full support to the one whom God had selected for the assignment. David even contributed generously toward the project. What an outstanding example to follow!​—2 Sam. 7:12, 13; 1 Chron. 29:1, 3-5.

  You may be too young or too old, have health issues, do not put in enough field service hours, have no clout or pull to receive an assignment, but according to the Bible narrative, David is sited for his fine example. The study article forgets to mention all of King David's wives, his adultery with Batsheba, leading him to arrange the death of her husband, Uriah.

  i was fading for the longest time, refused to go out in field service, dropped out of the ministry school talks, no longer answered at the watchtower study, arrived at the meetings the last second, and left as soon as possible.

  I bumped into a JW "friend" one day who said, "I hear you guys are missing a lot of meetings?"
  

  I used to sit next to the last row at my Kingdom Hall. An elder, wife and their two boys would sit in front of me. The boys were about six and four years old.

  Five years ago at my mom's funeral, the oldest boy told me that he missed seeing me, and wanted to know when I was coming back to the meetings. He was really sincere. I really had no answer.

  I stopped going to Kingdom Hall meetings about nine years ago. I was fading for the longest time, refused to go out in field service, dropped out of the Ministry School talks, no longer answered at the Watchtower Study, arrived at the meetings the last second, and left as soon as possible. I couldn't take attending the meetings any longer. My sanity was taking a toll on me. Being true to myself, I walked out of the door and never went back.

  i know he’s a great golfer.

  we know he just got into a major car accident (again).. i respect his golfing abilities but personally i’ve never cared for him and i think the press glorifies him sooo much.
